Lankhorst Ropes is the leading company for the group’s Maritime & Offshore Rope Division. Continuous product development has enabled this division to evolve into the market leader for high performance technical yarns, fibre ropes, twines and wire rope. A strong market position has been built on the strength of innovations in the fields of the maritime industry. Various materials are applied, such as polyamide, polyester, polyethylene and polypropylene, but also high modulus polyethylene, aramid and the in-house developed TIPTO® range. In close co-operation with clients world-wide, the division develops innovative solutions for specific applications. These solutions are either new products or existing techniques that have been built upon and improved.

The main production facilities are located in the Netherlands (Sneek), Portugal (Maia) and in Greece (Thiva). The product range is sold via sales organisations that are based in The Netherlands (Sneek and Dordrecht), United Kingdom (Worksop), Spain (Irún) and Australia (Queensland).
